Massara: Flatiron’s New Italian Haven

EAT

Welcome to Massara, the latest creation from Chef Stefano Sechi and restaurateur David Switzer, just a few steps from their celebrated restaurant Rezdora in the heart of Flatiron. Opening on June 17th, Massara offers a spacious setting that’s almost twice the size of its sister restaurant, accommodating around 105 guests across two floors.

Inspired by the charm of a rustic Italian farmhouse, Massara seamlessly blends this vibe with its New York City surroundings. The first floor features a large open kitchen with a striking custom wood-burning oven and a communal table made from original wooden beams. Dark green and gold accents throughout the dining room complement the natural wood furnishings, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Ceramic stands around the open kitchen showcase a daily selection of fruits and vegetables sourced from farmers' markets around the world.

To pair with the authentic Italian dishes, Massara offers a carefully curated wine list that focuses exclusively on Southern Italian wines. From Tuscany’s vineyards to Sardinia’s sun-soaked shores, each wine enhances your dining experience and highlights the restaurant’s commitment to showcasing the diversity of Italian wines.
